Calculations and saved receipts

What changed from Gold Calculator GH?

The iOS app is now GoldPro Calculator. Its main calculator uses Top Weight, Down Figure and a direct Gold Price in GHS. Additional Commission and Automatic 1% belong to the historical calculation method, not the main GoldPro calculator. Historical Single and Bulk receipts keep their saved values. Open the original Bulk calculator from Settings → Legacy Bulk Calculator.

How do I save a GoldPro transaction?

Enter Top Weight, Down Figure and Gold Price. Review Pounds, Density, Payable Karat, Payable Percentage and Total Amount. Tap Save, optionally enter a customer name, then confirm. Inputs clear only after the transaction is saved successfully.

How do I find a receipt?

Open History. Search by customer name or select a date filter. Open a record to review its original inputs, payable results and saved total. Viewing or exporting a saved receipt does not recalculate its monetary values.

What about legacy Single and Bulk records?

They remain identified as legacy records in History, with their original commission-based pricing and saved amounts. A Bulk receipt keeps its grouped goods and summary. Use Original receipt to open the earlier receipt view; its Share action offers the existing Summary / PDF options.

PDF and Excel reports

How do I export reports?

In History, choose Export shown transactions to export the currently filtered records. A GoldPro receipt also has an Export PDF / Excel action. Choose the report type, then choose a destination in Apple’s share sheet or Files interface. Available destinations depend on the apps installed on your device.

Exporting does not change the saved records. Reports contain financial information and are ordinary documents, not encrypted backup files.

Why are Excel summary labels or totals off-screen?

The GoldPro Transactions worksheet is wide. Scroll left to see TOTAL TOP WEIGHT, TOTAL DOWN FIGURE and GRAND TOTAL in columns A–B. Their values are in columns C, D and J respectively, so the GHS grand-total amount may require scrolling right. Open the original .xlsx file in Excel or Numbers, where available, for more viewing options. Missing text in the current viewport does not mean a saved value has changed.

How do I add company information and a logo?

Open Settings, enter the company name, phone, location and GoldBod licence number, then choose Save company information. Select a PNG or JPEG logo through Files. GoldPro PDF reports can include the saved details and logo. Excel reports include company text; legacy PDF receipts keep their earlier format.

Licence details are entered by you. GoldPro does not issue or verify a GoldBod licence.

What if saving or sharing fails?

Try again after checking available storage and access to the destination. Choose another destination if necessary. A cloud document provider may need an internet connection. The developer does not automatically receive a copy of your report.

Backup & Restore

How do I create a backup?

  1. In Settings, choose Backup Data.
  2. Enter and confirm a password of 8–256 characters. A longer memorable passphrase is recommended; the password must also fit the 1,024-byte UTF-8 limit.
  3. Choose Save to Files and select a destination outside GoldPro.
  4. Keep both the encrypted .goldprobackup file and its password somewhere safe.

A selected iCloud Drive or third-party provider may sync the encrypted file through its service. Backups include saved records and settings; they are different from PDF and Excel reports.

How do I restore?

Keep a separate current backup first. Choose Restore Data, select a GoldPro iOS .goldprobackup file, enter its password and choose Inspect Backup. Review its details before confirming Restore Data. Restoring replaces current saved records and settings; a verified encrypted safety copy of the previous data is retained on this device using the entered restore password. Keep GoldPro open until the operation finishes.

What if I forget the backup password?

There is no password reset or developer recovery service. A forgotten backup password cannot be recovered. The password protects the backup file, not an account login.

Can I restore an Android backup on iOS?

No. GoldPro iOS backups and Android GoldPro Calculator backups use different formats and are not compatible.

Your data and device

Does the app need internet or provide live gold prices?

No account is required. Calculations, local history and report generation work offline. Gold Price is entered manually. Support websites and some sharing or Files destinations require internet access.

Does deleting a transaction remove every copy?

No. Supported Delete controls remove a transaction from active History, but original migration files, recovery copies, reports and backups may still contain it. Restoring an older backup may bring it back. Read the migration and recovery policy before removing data.

What happens if I delete or offload the app?

Deleting the app removes its related local records and recovery copies. Offloading can retain documents and data. Keep an encrypted backup outside GoldPro before deleting the app if you need those records. Reports, provider copies and device backups must be managed separately.

Read the Privacy Policy for details about local storage, sharing, recovery copies and support correspondence.

GoldPro Calculator is an independent application and is not an official GoldBod application.
